Rabbi Jeff Sultar
Congregation B’nai Jacob, PA
Rabbi Jeff Sultar is the spiritual leader of Congregation B’nai Jacob in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania (just outside of Philadelphia). Previous positions have included serving as the campus rabbi first at the high school level, at Choate Rosemary Hall, a college preparatory boarding school in Wallingford, Connecticut, and then at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Besides a number of other congregational positions, he has also worked for several Jewish environmental groups. He has been an adjunct professor at Williams College and Temple University. His path toward the rabbinate included a 27-month, 16,000 mile bicycle journey throughout 46 of the United States, bartering work in exchange for places to stay.
