Rabbi David Mevorach Seidenberg is a Lecturer on Judaism and Ecology at Harvard Divinity School. He is the author of Kabbalah and Ecology: God’s Image in the More-Than-Human World (Cambridge, 2015), and the creator of neohasid.org. He completed a doctorate at Jewish Theological Seminary and a masters in Education at Harvard, and was ordained both by JTS and by Rabbi Zalaman Schachter-Shalomi. David has taught at Smith College, Vancouver School of Theology, Academy of Jewish Religion, and other seminaries and universities. He has published extensively on Jewish thought, text and practice in relation to ecology, human rights, and animal rights, including a detailed diachronic study of “tikkun olam“, and is also well-known for new liturgy and translations.
