This seminar focuses on the questions raised by legal recognition of religious
and spiritual uses of psychedelics, including the judicial evaluation of religious
claims; theological bases for psychedelic use in Judaism and Christianity;
issues of appropriation, access, safety, and justice; and the widely varying
political consequences of consciousness expansion.
