CLAS-HEB 130BR – Rapid Reading Classical Hebrew II

This course is designed to help students their increase their speed and fluency while reading biblical prose. It will also deepen their knowledge of Hebrew syntax, solidify the Hebrew verbal system, and expand their Biblical Hebrew vocabulary. Students will learn and practice useful skills relevant to studying Biblical Hebrew in graduate school and beyond, including reading the critical apparatus of the BHS and interpreting the Masorah. This course is designed to cover large areas of Biblical Hebrew narrative while also allowing the students to engage with current scholarship within the field of Hebrew Bible.
Recommended Prep: Classical Hebrew 130A or equivalent.
