About the Book:

Sounding Jewish in Berlin: Klezmer Music and the Contemporary City (Oxford University Press, 2021), explores in lively detail the music, musical networks and performance spaces of the contemporary Berlin klezmer and Yiddish music scene. 

Dr. Phil Alexander is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, where he works on Scottish-Jewish musical interactions.
